Yes, you can go to the dentist, but dental care is not reimbursed. Undocumented migrants over eighteen have to pay for dental care themselves. For children who are eighteen or younger the cost of regular dental care is normally reimbursed by the National Health Care Institute. This includes, for instance, getting a filling or having a tooth extracted. In such cases the dentist gets 80% of the bill back from the National Health Care Institute.

If you need a dentist but cannot afford one yourself, you can visit the dentist at the Kruispost in Amsterdam. This service is offered twice a month and is in great demand. You will be asked for a contribution to help pay for the materials used.
