This website provides information about care for undocumented migrants in Almere. We explain rights, duties, funding and support options.
We define undocumented migrants as people who stay in the Netherlands without having a right of residence. As an undocumented migrant you are entitled to medically necessary care. This is care which a doctor believes to be necessary. Doctors call this ‘responsible and appropriate care’. It includes almost all forms of care covered by the basic health insurance package in the Netherlands.
This website was developed by the Red Cross in cooperation with Stichting LOS, and is supported by Zorggroep Almere, Stichting Inspiratie Inc., I-Psy, pharmacy De Brug, hospital Flevoziekenhuis, VluchtelingenWerk Midden-Nederland and Leger des Heils.
